(August 6, 2020) Mr. Sakoltee Phattiyakul, Deputy Governor of Bangkok, presided over the opening ceremony of training program on basic law for City Law Enforcement Officers which was organized in order that the BMA City Law Enforcement Officers have knowledge on criminal law and administrative law and can correctly and efficiently apply the obtained knowledge to their works. Participants in the training program are 480 officers and personnel of BMA City Law Enforcement Department.
The Deputy Governor of Bangkok revealed that to maintain city’s cleanliness, security, and orderliness are the priority challenges that Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and City Law Enforcement Officers must give importance to. As these duties are related to and directly impact the rights of the people, it is essential that the City Law Enforcement Officers enhance their capacity to have better understanding and knowledge on relevant legislation. The knowledge is needed for their work operation and the correct and accurate legal proceedings against the offenders. This aims to build positive image to the City Law Enforcement Officers and the BMA as well as to prevent and avoid public complaints which may occurred from the performance of duties.
