Mrs. Silapasuai Rawisaengsun, Permanent Secretary for the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) revealed that, in the past, the outbreak of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)spread extensively; therefore, the BMA stops providing registration service at “Bangkok Express Service” located inshopping malls, department stores, skytrain station, and Bangkok City Hall.
At present, the COVID-19 pandemic situation tends to be better, the BMA decided to reopen “Bangkok Express Service Points” to facilitate the people who need to use the registration documents and evidences at 5 locations, namely, 1) Paradise Park Department Store, Prawet District, 2) Fashion Island Department Store, Khan Na Yao District, 3) Bangkok City Hall, Phra Nakhon District, 4) Udom Suk BTS Station, Bang NaDistrict, and 5) the Mall Bang Khae Department Store, Bang Khae District.
However, the reopening of Bangkok Express Service shall follow and comply with the guidelines, orders or directives concerning the prevention of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). In order to receive services, the number of service users must be specified (using queuing arrangement) to be at theappropriate number every day in order to reduce density of customers and avoid mass gathering of people waiting for services. If the number of service users (the queue) is full, an appointment must be arranged in advance.
Other than personally making an appointment in advance, service users can make an appointment for services via BMAQ application. Anyone using smartphones can download the BMAQ application from Google Play and the App Store. In this regard, the BMA requests for cooperation from the people who come to use the service of Bangkok Express Service to strictly abide by precautionary measures to prevent the spread of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) such as wearing cloth face coverings or sanitary face mask at all time while receiving services.
Four Bangkok Express Service Points open from 11.00 to 19.00 hrs., every day including public holidays. Only the Bangkok Express Service Point located at Bangkok City Hall (Sao Chingcha) that provides services from Monday to Friday, at 08.30 – 16.30 hrs. The services provided include making a copy of a civil registration, issuance of ID card for the first-time applicants and the case of expired or damaged ID card.
