BMA’s proactive COVID-19 tests achieve 107%, exceeding the goal

On 23rd June 2020, Pol.Lt.Gen. Sopon Pisuttiwong, Deputy Governor of Bangkok, as the Director of the BMA’s Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration, presided over the meeting of the BMA’s Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration, No. 61/2020.

The BMA has conducted proactive COVID-19 tests randomly on high-risk groups and places (sentinel surveillance), which the BMA has been provided with 15,210 COVID-19 test kits by the Ministry of Public Health. The tests have been conducted since 18th May 2020 and the number of samples that have been collected and tested until 20th June 2020 was 16,235 cases totaling 106.74% of the kits supported by the Ministry of Public Health. Of all tested samples, 11,246 cases were not infected, while 4,989 cases are in testing process.
