(September 9, 2020) Mr. Sakchai Boonma, Deputy Governor of Bangkok, together with Director of Yan Nawa District Office, Director of Sathon District Office, Director of Bang Rak District Office, representatives of Drainage and Sewerage Department, representatives of Public Works Department, and related officers had a site visit to survey Chong Nonsi Canal at Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra Road starting from Rama III Road to Surawong Road. The survey aims to improve landscape of Chong Nonsi Canal to be a tourist attraction and recreational area and to be a place where people living along Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra Road can organize any activities or events. The areas cover 3 districts namely Yan Nawa District, Sathon District, and Bang Rak District.
The survey was conducted at the construction site of activity ground, rainwater drainage pipes, wastewater drainage pipes, pumping stations, and at canals connected to Chong Nonsi Canal, namely Manao Canal, Sao Hin Canal, and Phiphat Canal. The objectives of the survey are to make plan for preventing wastewater to flow into Chong Nonsi Canal and improve water quality in Chong Nonsi Canal to continually have clean and clear water.
